Inspired by film noir, pulp crime novels and the lonely night of Edward Hopper, NIGHTHAWKS explores an long forgotten urban landscape filled with American Jazz and shady characters. Inspired by Hammett and Chandler, NIGHTHAWKS weaves circus artists into a larger tale exploring the denizen's of the night. Utilizing dancers, acrobats, actors, contortionists, aerialists and jugglers NIGHTHAWKS is a tall tale told over a half-empty cup of coffee, cooling on the counter of an empty diner. Where with haunting melodies speak of impossible yearnings drifting through the night air.
Night falls on the city. Darkness spreads its lonely touch. Yet in the alleys, light begins to pool. In the neon hum, flesh begins to glow. And like moths fluttering to a flame, the denizens of the night swirl into view. Streetlights become spotlights, the nocturnal carnival pulses to life. Some jitter up a jazzy sweat, while others tingle gently to the haunting melody, growing slowly damp in the heat. And lurking in the shadows...a red dress, red lips, red blood.
